We work throughout the region to support animal welfare legislation, fight animal cruelty in all forms, respond to animals in danger from man-made and natural disasters, and engage like-minded citizens to promote the protection of animals.

After meticulously investigating the case, local law enforcement, The Humane Society of the United States and other groups raided a McKinleyville, Calif. property where they found 1,400 game cocks and 500 game fowl--as well as fighting paraphernalia.
Cockfighting--and the possession of birds or fighting implements--is illegal in all 50 states.
